A luxurious vacation at Banyan Tree Phuket resort

Banyan Tree Phuket is an award-winning resort near Bangtao Beach. It is also the most luxurious 5-star resort nestled in the Laguna complex. Open for more than two decades, Banyan Tree Phuket is the largest and most luxurious resort on Phuket Island (36ha). The immense resort features 217 luxurious all-pool villas nestled around the saltwater lagoon. The villas are luxuriously furnished with careful attention to detail, making it one of the best hotels in Phuket.

The Lobby of Banyan Tree Phuket is surprisingly large and welcoming. It is well-designed with large windows offering stunning views over the lagoon. An ideal place to meet friends enjoying a drink from the Lobby bar.

The luxurious resort features 6 renowned restaurants and 2 bars. They serve authentic Thai cuisine, international and Japanese specialties. Banyan Tree Phuket has a large 18-hole championship golf course. The golf course has deservedly been nominated one of Thailand’s best golf courses. Although its vastness, it also has 3 tennis courts, 2 swimming pools, a kid’s club and a gym with the latest modern equipment. In addition, you can experience a cooking class and Yoga course. As a top resort in all of Asia, Banyan Tree Phuket has also the best Spa in Phuket and it is of course a SHA+ certified hotel. Hence, the hotel is licensed to host international travelers under the Phuket Sandbox scheme.

The luxurious pool villa

I stayed in the luxurious Grand Lagoon Pool Villa (270sqm). The villa features a private 9-meter swimming pool and a large outdoor terrace overlooking the lagoon. Nestled in a tropical garden, the villa is well-surrounded by high walls for total privacy. So you can swim or sunbathe without being seen by the neighbors. The villa is luxuriously furnished to suit guests’ needs. The room is well-designed with parquet and direct access to the pool. Furthermore, it has a king-size bed, a comfortable sofà and a satellite TV with many channels.

The bathroom is large and well-equipped with all the amenities of a luxury hotel. The shower and toilet are separate. Furthermore, it has a large outdoor bathtub. However, taking a bath under the stars is absolutely romantic.

The private pool is irresistible. You can even order the floating breakfast in advance if you want. The garden has a couple of sunbeds and umbrella if you want to relax. If that’s not enough, you can request to have lunch or a romantic dinner by candlelight under the roof by the pool. Banyan Tree Phuket has designed the villas with comfort and functionality. You will be surrounded by luxury in order to make sure you want to stay and enjoy every minute of your vacation.

The location

Banyan Tree Phuket is located in the center of the beautiful Bangtao Beach. The luxurious resort is not on the beach but few steps away. So, just cross the street to reach the beach. This area is relatively quiet, perfect for those who want to relax. Furthermore, during the high season guests can use the sun loungers managed by the resort. So go to the beach and enjoy the beautiful view towards the Andaman Sea.

The Golf course

The 18-hole golf course at Banyan Tree Phuket is surprisingly large. In fact, it is the largest golf course on Phuket Island. Banyan Tree Phuket is nominated in this year’s World Golf Awards (2021) for “Thailand’s Best Golf Hotel 2021”, with Laguna Golf Phuket for “Thailand’s Best Golf Course”.
