Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort near Kamala Beach

Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort is a large hotel located on a hillside in the southern part of Kamala. The prestigious 5-star resort is not far from of the main Kamala Beach and is facing to Rayee Beach and to all Kamala Bay. This exclusive resort with more than 200 rooms and suites offers private balconies or terraces, with a stunning sea views. Moreover, not all rooms facing by the sea, but some come with a small private pools! So, the room choice is quite big.
Hyatt Regency Phuket is a great resort for families and young couples. So, do not wait, book your stay at the link below.

The Lobby is large and high with some comfortable sofas. So, I sat on a sofà waiting for the manager of the resort. The Hyatt Regency Phuket main pool is very large surrounded by king-size canopy beds and loungers with blue umbrellas.

At the side there is a Pool Bar with large and comfortable sofas, perfect place to relax during the day. At sunset is the best time to chill especially with a fruit cocktail on the hand. This is what I did.
A few steps of the Pool Bar, there is The Pool House restaurant. A well-design restaurant, offering a rich and delicious breakfast buffet in the morning. It is open for lunch and dinner, serving delicious Italian, Thai and international food. It is worth it for lunch because you have a nice pool view. The restaurant has air conditioning inside, but you can also eat outside if you prefer.

The Rooms

I took a buggy to reach my Hill Top Regency Suite because it is located at the hilltop of the resort. The luxurious (82 sqm) suite is surprisingly large. Including 2 balconies offering a breathtaking view on the Kamala Bay.

The spacious living room and room are separate but communicating with each other. Living room is large with a comfortable sofà with pillows facing a big flat-screen TV. I enjoyed it watching some movies during my stay. The king-size bed was extremely soft and large offering a nice view. Every morning from the balcony I had a fantastic view to the ocean because the suite is located at the top of the resort.

The big desk is behind the bed, perfect for working on laptop or reading a book. The room does have a big flat-screen TV with many channels, but which 5-star hotels does not have a flat-screen TV in the room nowadays. This suite offers many universal plugs and of course with a fast WI-FI connection.

The bathroom area is divided in three rooms: One small has toilet and a single sink. The other large bathroom is with a big shower and bathtub offering nice sea view. A third bathroom is well-equipped with double sinks, towels storage and mirrors. This suite had all the amenities you can expect from a 5-star resort. Of course here is everything you need, and nothing is missing!

I stayed in a fantastic suite which is included all Regency Club benefits within the Lounge and access to the infinity pool. So do not miss a chance to make great the holiday!
To reach the Lobby or the main restaurant I called a buggy. Moreover, the buggy service is great, but it requires a bit of time to every move.

The Regency Club

The exclusive Regency Club is located high on the hill of the resort, and it is for the Regency Club members only. It is very attractive and it serves breakfast, food and drinks for all day to enjoy inside or outdoors. It worth’s try!

I was struck by the beauty of the infinity pool facing the entire Kamala bay. There are some curvy pool chairs right on the pool, but I did not have time to try one of these because I was busy taking photos. The Regency Club is quite busy at sunset. So do not forget to book your table in advance!

Sunset Grill restaurant

Sunset Grill restaurant is just next to our suite. To reach the restaurant I did not call a buggy, but I preferred to walk. The great restaurant opens at 6 pm but do not think to go at dinner late and to find free table because it is always full booked! Note that: Sunset Grill is right now open to the public, but you should book one day in advance to dine there. So do not hesitate to book your table! It is worth to dine there, because it offers a very wide view to the Andaman Sea, especially at sunset.

I tried some grill dishes: a 400g Wagyu Beef Wellington served with ruffle mashed potatoes and garden vegetables. Highly recommended. Also Confit Duck Leg with pomegranate syrup, Chana masala and brown rice. They were very delicious even without a glass of wine because it was Big Buddha Day. Unfortunately they were not allowed selling wine, so I ordered water! The wine list is quite long, so take your time before ordering one!

Nahm Spa

Hyatt Regency Phuket resort features a great spa, called Nahm Spa, but which 5-star resort in Phuket does not have one nowadays. I had one-hour Candle and Aromatherapy massage in a nice treatment room because there is no better way to release the tension of a working day. Treatments certainly do not come cheap, but even though, you should book in advance, especially on a rainy day!

The resort come with a kids club and a well-equipped fitness, but I did not use it on my stay.

In front of the resort there are always taxis waiting to take you to other parts of Phuket but you should ask and fix the price. Sometimes I visit the resort, and Staff is so friendly and very attentive. Some of these still remember well my name. So don’t be surprised if it happens to you too!
