3 fantastic days at Novotel Kamala Beach

Novotel Kamala Beach Phuket Resort is located in the northern end of the charming Kamala Beach with the right access to the beach. This popular 4-star resort is often full booked, certainly for its strategic position by the sea.

The resort is not big, and it is very compact, offering more than 160 rooms divided in 9 room types to choose from, but not all come with sea view! This beautiful resort comes with a 180° rooftop bar with an unforgettable view towards Kamala Beach. There is also a kids club, a Fitness Center, and of course a beautiful Spa. The main swimming pool has a welcoming pool bar offering a fantastic sea view especially at sunset.

Just next to the main pool there is SOUL KITCHEN, the all-day dining restaurant, opening from 6.30 am till 11 pm. Our day started with a rich and delicious breakfast.
We checked in, in a high, and well-lit reception with a friendly and very welcoming staff. The reception is connected with the ‘Living Room sports bar’ with a great set up in an open air space facing the Andaman Sea, and the swimming pool.

One Bedroom Pool villa

At our arrival the receptionist informed us that we have a chance to upgrade from Superior room booked previously, with the Pool Villa. We approved, obviously and, we were excited. So our vacation had a good begin!

The Pool villa room is quite big (65 sqm) including the balcony with chairs. It is very useful especially if you want to breathe the sea breeze. The king-size bed is large and comfortable facing a 42” TV with plenty of channels.
The bathroom and the shower are separate and located in the back area but no bathtub. I had trouble adjusting the shower water mixer, but turning and trying, I understood instantly how to put it on.

Novotel Kamala Beach being an international brand hotel so, you can expect all the amenities. For example: Mini bar, hair dryer, safe deposit box, Tea & coffee appliances, bathrobes and slipper, iron and iron table, and many more. The room does have a desk, with a soft light and 2 convenient USB keys and then the WI-FI is fast. The most surprising thing is the outdoor private pool above the room. This pool is a decent size offering a fantastic sea view. Moreover, there are 2 sun loungers and umbrella to enjoy the day, but there is no privacy in that pool because your neighbours can see you.

The InBalance Spa

InBalance Spa is located in the ground floor, in a quiet area. They have a professional massage therapist team. We had one-hour Thai and aromatherapy massage in a very well-design treatment room. My girl doesn’t love Spa treatment, but surprisingly she appreciated it very much. They have a good variety of treatments and spa packages. Moreover, they also have a very long package of 420 minutes with the lunch set menu for 6,500 baht.
I suggest booking in advance, especially in a rainy day!

The rooftop

On The Roof is a rooftop bar of Novotel Kamala Beach located above the reception. In fact, offers an unforgettable 180° view of Kamala Bay.
The rooftop open at 4 pm and comes with many comfortable sofas and armchairs. The happy hour starts at 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm so do not miss a chance to order two drinks for the price of one! Moreover, On The Roof is possible to dine under the star with their live music. We tried a delicious Chicken Satay Wrap with French fries.

Soul Kitchen restaurant

Soul Kitchen restaurant is big and high. Outside sitting is very attractive certainly for the view towards the beach. The morning starts with a rich breakfast buffet till 10.30 am. They serve International cuisine, Indian and Thai dishes. They also have a vegetarian menu available upon request obviously. Moreover, you can book a romantic dinner on the beach with a truly romantic setting. It’s really worth it!

Kamala Beach

Novotel Kamala Beach has right access to the fantastic Kamala beach. The beach is sandy and tranquil, with some area with beach loungers and umbrellas. In front of the hotel is possible to go snorkeling because the seabed is very nice but only during high season when the sea is calm and clear.

Just at 100 meters from the Novotel Kamala Beach there are two beach clubs. One of these is the famous Café Del Mar Phuket. This beach club is known for its pool parties especially during the high season. Moreover, I can assure you that the music does not disturb the guests of the hotel.
The hotel provides regular free shuttles to go to Central Patong, in Patong Beach. In case you would like to visit other parts of the island Novotel Kamala does have their limo.
