Naithon Beach is a quiet beach located just 2 km north from Banana beach in the west coast of Phuket. The beach is immense with soft sand and crystal water especially in high season (Nov – Apr). The water is incredibly clear with some amazing blue tones like as no others, making it one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket.

It’s great for swimming and for snorkeling, but during the low season this beach is almost deserted with an occasionally raging sea. The stretch beach is lined by Casuarina Pines to provide shade which is a good shelter during the hottest hours of the day. It’s a great place to get away from the crowds and enjoy a quiet atmosphere. The surrounding area behind the beach hasn’t been excessively developed, so it retains its charm. There are just some restaurants, massage shops, street vendors and some hotels. At the northern end of the beach, on the hill is perched the Pulman Arcadia Naithon Beach, a luxurious 5-star resort.


19. Nai Yang Beach

Nai Yang is a quiet beach located in the north-west of Phuket just close to the Phuket International Airport. Nai Yang Beach is part of the Sirinath National Park divided into three zones. This C shape sandy beach, with a few beach loungers, is very wide, long and mostly lined by Casuarina Pines to provide shade. The water is shallow and in high season the sea is surprisingly calm and clear, great for swimming and for snorkeling. During the low season, this beach is an excellent Kite surfing spot.

The beach itself remains quiet all year round, so it still retains its charm as Phuket of 40 years ago. It is great place for families and travelers that love to spend the vacation far from the crowds. Across the beach road there are few bars and Thai restaurants that serve International food, good Thai food and Seafood at affordable prices. 20. Mai Khao Beach

This 11-km-long sandy beach is surprisingly almost undeveloped as it is part of the Sirinat National Park. There are just a few hotels and the Phuket International Airport on the side of this beach. With its coarse sand and with its deep blue tones of the sea, Mai Khao beach is totally different of any beaches on Phuket. During the low season (May-Oct) the beach is hit by strong westerly winds an occasionally raging sea. Swimming is absolutely forbidden because there are very strong sea rip currents. This is the only beach where it is possible to watch the planes landing from the sea side only in the high season.
