One of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket

Kata Noi Beach with its white sand and incredibly clear waters especially at high season, ranks as one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket. Kata Noi Beach remains quiet and not busy despite is located just next to the popular Kata Beach because it remains hidden from the main road!

This fantastic beach is surrounded by two superb resorts. The prestigious Katathani Phuket Beach Resort and the luxurious Pool Villas The Shore at Katathani. Furthermore, they hide the visibility of the beach from the road because they are facing on the beach.

In the evening, the area of Kata Noi beach remains quiet. Instead, if you prefer having some fun, you can go to the central area of Kata. For example, the Kata Night Plaza where you will find many restaurants, bars, and clubs with live music nearby. In fact, these places are frequented mostly by tourists where they enjoy their evenings. However, good nightlife is recommended in the famous Bangla Road in Patong Beach which is the right place to have a fun night in the notorious Bangla Road.

What to do in Kata Noi Beach

In the center part of Kata Noi Beach there is a umbrella zone with sun loungers at 200 Baht each. In addition, there is also a massage corner. A massage by the sea is truly relaxing especially doing a foot massage. Just behind, there is a small bar where they serve cold drinks, fruit smoothies and some Thai beers. They also serve several Thai dishes to get through the day, but don’t think you will find an extensive menù.

Usually, I prefer going at the On The Rocks bar which is located in the southern part of the beach. It is a great place, offering a wide view over the whole Kata Noi beach. Moreover, the bar remains shaded, so, it is a perfect place to rehydrate yourself with a fresh coconut enjoying the sea breeze. Moreover, they also serve some snacks. Who wouldn’t do it!

The southern part of the beach is also excellent for snorkeling as the water is crystal clear. So, keep a mask and start swimming. Canoes and paddle boards are available. So, rent one of these for visiting the narrow coves on the left side of the beach. It is exciting, and moreover you will not forget these fantastic moments of your holiday when you will be at home!

Where to eat in Kata Noi Beach

During the central hours of the day, the heat is almost unbearable to stay on the beach. So, why not move for a couple of hours for taking break for lunch?

You should reach the street behind the beach to find some local restaurants in order to find what you prefer. You can also choose the resort restaurant option but of course the prices are probably excessive. On the hill of Kata Noi, the road that leads to the Karon viewpoint, there are some interesting restaurants with a sea view. Let’s see some restaurants together!

Pomodoro Italian Restaurant

If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant nearby to the beach, is recommended Pomodoro Pizza. It is located in a quiet street in Kata, just a few minutes away from Kata Noi. The restaurant serves excellent Italian cuisine: homemade pasta, pizzas, salads, and desserts at affordable prices! Furthermore, if you are tired and do not want to go out, the restaurant also provides DELIVERY service.

The Sundeck Phuket

The Sundeck Phuket will be the first hillside chic restaurant on the right side of the road. In fact, with its trendy style it is inevitable not to see it. It serves an inspired Mediterranean cuisine accompanied by good wines. Moreover, it is built on 2 levels, offering to the guests a spectacular view over the whole bay of Kata Noi.

After Beach Bar and Baan Chom View restaurants

After Beach Bar and Baan Chom View are 2 popular restaurants with stunning sea view, built on wooden stilts. Seen both from outside, they seem modest with their strange dark entrances, but be aware that, they are there more than 2 decades. Once you arrive at their terraces, you will admire an extraordinary panoramic view over the whole blue bay of Kata Noi. Probably, it is one of the most beautiful panoramas on the island. Both restaurants mostly serve Thai cuisine and some international dishes at affordable prices. Beers and soft drinks are available, but I highly recommend my favorite drink, the fresh coconut smoothie!

Tree Bay Clubhouse

Tree Bay Clubhouse is a great restaurant for a sunset dinner with panoramic views of the Andaman Sea. Strategically nestled below the Karon Viewpoint, its large terrace boasts a unique view of the three bays of Kata Noi Beach, Kata Beach, and Karon Beach, making it one of the best restaurant with sea view in Phuket. Enjoy an unforgettable experience indulging gourmet cuisine, exquisite selected wines, all accompanied by pleasant music. It’s a good idea to book in advance to get the best table with a sea view. Open hours: 1 pm – 11 pm.

Karon Viewpoint

From here, if you continue for less than 2 kilometers, you will find the Karon Viewpoint. This viewpoint is the only one on the whole island that offers a breathtaking panoramic view of 3 beaches. Kata Noi the closest, Kata and Karon Beach as the end. Karon Viewpoint in Thai is called ‘Kho Sam Haad’, which means ‘The hill of the three beaches’. Did you know this?

Low season

The low season in Phuket runs from May to October, which coincides with the rainy season. In those months it may rain often, and the western monsoon winds making the sea rough with high waves and dangerous rip currents. Even so, this makes the beach relatively quiet, but it is the best time for surfers to visit. During the low season is not allowed swimming in the sea, so booking a hotel with swimming pool is a great idea for swimming safely. Katathani Phuket Beach and The Shore by Katathani are the only two hotels with beautiful swimming pools and direct access to the beach.
